바이올리스트 시몬-필립 알라드는 캐나다 퀘백 출신으로, 몬트리올에서 음악공부를 한 그는 2004년에서 2015년까지 Halifax의 Symphony Nova Scotia에서 바이올린 부수석으로 활동하였다. 그는 영국 Cardiff의 Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama에서 음악과 드라마를 전공하였으며, David Adams, Lesley Hatfield, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Krysia Osostowicz에게 사사 받았다. 그는 2016년 Cardiff 바이올린 상을 수상 하였으며, 실내악에도 많은 관심을 가지고 있어 굴드 피아노 트리오, 슈베르트 앙상블 및 에머슨 현악 4중주의 멤버들로부터도 사사 받았다. 그는 Symphony Nova Scotia, Welsh National Opera Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the Bristol Ensemble, the St. Endellion Festival Orchestradhk 등 수많은 오케스트라와 협연하였으며 버킹엄 궁전에서 개최된 갈라 콘서트에서 Royal Welsh String Soloists를 이끌었다.

Canadian violinist Simon-Philippe Allard was born in Quebec City and pursued his musical studies in Montreal before becoming Assistant principal second violin with Symphony Nova Scotia in Halifax, a position he held from 2004 until 2015. He perfected his playing by returning to study his instrument at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, UK where he was the very first string instrumentalist to be admitted in the College’s Orchestral Pathway Course from which he graduated in 2017 in the class of David Adams. Simon-Philippe also benefited from the teachings of other prominent violinists including Lesley Hatfield, Itzhak Rashkovsky and Krysia Osostowicz. Simon-Philippe was the 2016 winner of the Cardiff Violins Prize and was also actively involved in chamber music, receiving tutoring from members of the Gould Piano Trio, Schubert Ensemble and Emerson String Quartet. Apart from his long-term experience with Symphony Nova Scotia, he played in many orchestras including the Welsh National Opera Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the Bristol Ensemble, the St. Endellion Festival Orchestra and also lead the Royal Welsh String Soloists for a gala concert at Buckingham Palace.
